Globe Studios at 72 Victoria St, Kitchener
This is a photograph of the second Globe Studios location. After being forced out of the original Globe Furniture building in Waterloo, Globe Studios was in the building at the corner of Victoria and Joesph St. I think this Polaroid photograph captures the spirit of the place. It was a time when old industrial spaces were somewhat plentiful.
Interesting times. It's cool how cities change over time even though, at the time, these changes can feel threatening, maddening, traumatic. The old industrial spaces were cool to explore but seeing them repurposed has value too. I love the glare caused by the window light, makes the space feel even more grungy.
